Pornography and your child

Pornography and your child

Pornography has never been more accessible, affordable, anonymous or addictive. The smartphone has made this the ‘porn in your pocket’ generation and changed the landscape of childhood & adolescence.

The Naked Truth Project is an organisation with a Christian basis that seeks to open eyes and free lives from the damaging impact of pornography.

They have developed key resources for parents, including a digital Parents Pack and “PG” parent workshops. They are working to see 100% of parents talking to their kids about porn. Find out more about the support available for parents here.

They also offer courses, online support groups and counselling for adults. There are tracks that focus on ‘common sense’ solutions, as well as those focussed on a specifically Christian ‘gospel’ approach. You can find a full list of their programmes & activities here.

Founder of the Naked truth Project, Ian Henderson, writes: ‘We’re equally passionate about prevention and restoration, so we’re in both places: upstream, educating about the harms of porn and warning people of the dangers ahead, and downstream, pulling people out of the deep waters of addiction, betrayal, trauma and much more.’

Here is a video outlining their ‘common sense’ approach.
