Christianity Explored 4: The Cross
October 22 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
What did it cost to rescue us?
Join us for the fourth session of Christianity Explored as we continue exploring the Gospel of Mark.
In this session, we consider the cost of our rescue. Jesus is clear that our sin carries consequences, and that there is nothing we can do on our own to undo them. That can be hard to accept. We need help.
The good news is that Jesus did not come simply to expose our failure and leave us to sort it out. We’ll consider the price that had to be paid for forgiveness, how Jesus was the only one who could pay it, and what this means for our lives.
We’ll watch a short film together before having an informal discussion in a small group.
Everyone is welcome, whether you’ve been to church for years, have questions about Christianity, or are simply curious to find out more about Jesus.
