Christianity Explored 5: The Resurrection
November 12 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
What does the resurrection of Jesus mean?
Join us for the fifth session of Christianity Explored as we continue exploring the Gospel of Mark.
After the cross, Jesus’ followers are scattered and grieving. It looked like the end. But as we read the closing chapters of the Gospel of Mark, we see that Jesus’ death was not a failure or a surprise. It was part of his plan all along.
Through his death and resurrection, Jesus deals decisively with sin and begins to reverse the effects of humanity’s fall. He had told his followers this would happen – but it is only when they meet the risen Jesus that everything falls into place.
In this session, we’re invited to see why the resurrection changes everything – not just for the first disciples, but for us today.
We’ll watch a short film together before having an informal discussion in a small group.
Everyone is welcome, whether you’ve been to church for years, have questions about Christianity, or are simply curious to find out more about Jesus.
